About Us
At Māia CrossFit our mission is simple: use CrossFit and an unparalleled sense of community to elevate the health, well-being and fitness of Wellington. Everything we do is driven by our CORE values—Courage (Māia), Whānau, Health & Fitness and Value and we’re interested in talking with new coaches who live and breathe these values and want to join our team.
Who We’re Looking For:
Preferred: Minimum 12 months of CrossFit class-coaching experience (our coaches must be able to lead the floor confidently).
Preferred: Personal-training or group-training background (you know how to tailor cues for one client and still run a sharp class of sixteen, or at least you’re willing to learn).
Preferred: CrossFit Level 1 (or higher); other S&C or fitness quals a bonus.
Growth mindset—comfortable giving & receiving feedback.
A “walk-the-talk” role-model: you greet members by name, demo with great form, run classes to time and leave the space cleaner than you found it.
NZ working rights and current first-aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain).
What You’ll Do
Coach 2-5 classes per week (with potential for more).
Deliver world-class briefings, demos and movement corrections that honour technique, consistency, intensity.
Foster a fun, safe environment where every member feels challenged and included in the best 60 minutes of their day.
Help with community events, comps and fundraising workouts.
Role model and set the standard for Māia excellence.
